The Best Limousine Company and Executive Car Service In San Francisco and San Jose

What does it take to be the best ground logistics or luxury Transportation Company?  What goes in to the proper execution of an executive car service or a luxury limousine company?   A very common misconception is that the limousine industry is a simple one after all it’s just a matter of driving right?  How difficult can it be to pick someone up on time, or to help them with their bags and hold a door, especially now a days with GPS, flight tracking and a plethora of technology designed to make transportation and communication simple and efficient?  Well we would like to try and shed a little light on the behind the scenes of an executive car service or limousine company.

First of all we are going to speak specifically about a San Francisco or San Jose based executive car service or limousine service.  The importance of this distinction is that San Francisco and San Jose has a very high population density, which means traffic.  If you do not live in a heavily populated area you cannot even begin to understand what traffic can be like on SanJose or in SFO.  Traffic is a huge x-factor, it can throw off the timing of dispatched transfers by an unimaginable amount, it takes precision timing and geographic knowledge in combination with the latest technologies to correctly dispatch rides in a city like San Francisco.

Traffic is only the beginning; the other two major influences in the proper execution of a great limousine service are mechanical failure and human error.  Mechanical failure may seem obvious, but to fully understand imagine your car driving all day long seven days a week and being driven by different people in all types of weather conditions and on all types of surfaces.  These vehicles are well used, especially if they are operated by a successful executive car service (that means they are going out often).  The company must have their own mechanic facility and employ its own mechanics; preventative maintenance must be performed weekly if not daily.   Human error also plays a roll and that can Bassit as early as when the reservation is taken, it can be the fault of the client the reservationist or a combination of the two.  To avoid confusion confirmations must be made and respected, calls must be recorded and monitored, or else the law of average dictates that eventually there will be a problem.

This is only the smallest glimpse into the inner machinations of a great San Francisco or San Jose based Executive car service or Limousine Company.   In this industry the margin for error is large and people expect what they pay for.  It takes a lot to ensure perfect service, it takes a lot to accommodate a corporate client flawlessly or exceed the expectations of a nervous bride.  But that is what it takes to be the best limousine service or executive car service in San Francisco or San Jose that is what All Bassi Limousine Service does every day.

Limousine Learning Series: Just Drive the Limousine!

In past blogs I have given some of you helpful hints on how to rent a limousine for just about any occasion, including weddings, proms, office parties etc. However, as I look back over my advice I noticed that even though it is mentioned, I have not given much detail on one of the most important components of renting a limousine. The Chauffeur.

In all of my past writings I have made the suggestion that you ask about the driver in order to establish that they are a professional and that they have experience and know the city. These questions are for obvious reasons. Having a driver that is slovenly or lacks knowledge of the city can definitely make for an inferior experience. What I thought I would talk about today though, was what you should look for in a professional driver.

First and foremost a good chauffeur dresses the part. They are professionally uniformed in a crisp black suit and tie. They must be the consummate service person, with all of their focus on your satisfaction. They should have the utmost knowledge of the city and they should have studied the route they were going to take the night before. A really good chauffeur has anticipated any problems and solved them long before you ever arrived. The gas tank is full, the glassware is spotless, the ice bins are full, the refreshments are stocked, the interior of the vehicle is spotless, the exterior of the vehicle gleams.

A professional chauffeur not only knows the city, but also knows the quirks of traffic patterns at all times of the day. They will know all of the city short cuts in order to save time.  They will also know where the local Starbucks or Subway is located. A professional chauffeur’s greatest attribute though is his ability to drive. When I say drive, I don’t mean pass a driver’s license test, I mean really know how to drive. A great chauffeur guides a vehicle like it is an extension of themselves. It is a seamless integration of driver and machine. A great chauffeur does not accelerate to fast, stop to quickly, change lanes aggressively or turn corners to fast. No in truth a great chauffeur’s ability to drive seamlessly leaves the passenger with no sense of being in an automobile at all.

Trust me you will know the difference if you have ever had an inexperience hack behind the wheel. You are thrown about the back of the limousine like the little silver ball in a pinball machine. So the next time you are out and have the luxury of utilizing a limousine or sedan service, pay attention to the little nuances of a professional chauffeur. Once you realize that you have had the privilege of experiencing a professional, you will never be satisfied with just any run of the mill driver. Remember, just about anyone can drive a car; it takes a true professional to make it an experience.

We are Green - Bassi Limousine Service Santa Clara

I was in my car listening to a talk radio station and there was an interview going on with a scientist regarding climate change and the Copenhagen climate summit. Let me start off by saying that I believe in protecting the environment. I believe that we should do everything we can not to harm it by arbitrarily polluting our planet. That being said, I still believe in facts and common sense. Therefore I was stunned by what I heard this particular scientist say.  Being in the limousine business and watching my colleagues spend millions on green technology and green limousines, I wanted to pay close attention to this conversation.

bassi limousine service santa clara to all airports The host had asked this scientist how he would explain the fact that Mars, Venus, and Uranus were all experiencing the exact same warming trends as the earth was. The scientist actually said they weren’t related at all. The host asked if it is possible that the warming trends experienced by the four planets could be related to the sun and the scientist replied no not necessarily. The host pushed further by asking if it could be possible, and the scientist said absolutely not.

Absolutely not! How can that be? With absolute certainty, how can he say that the planetary warming trend is not related to the sun and that it cannot possibly be related to the sun? I was aghast. Mainly due to the fact that there is increasing evidence that climate change scientist have been fabricating and hiding climate information for the past three decades in order to keep the climate change debate going. Add to that the fact that there is mounting evidence that the photographs and scientific reports on the crisis of the icecaps melting were fabricated. I think there can be no absolutes in this debate.

Global warming may be a problem, though I am doubtful for many reasons. However, a scientist saying irrefutably that the sun is absolutely not a factor in global or planetary warming is inane. I may not have a PHD or a doctorate, but common sense says that the sun may be the problem. I am sure I could conduct enough scientific studies to prove it one way or another, before I would just dismiss it as a possibility.

I only wrote this article, because as I hear more and more about the global warming problem and watch my colleagues in the limousine industry spend hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions going green, I have the thought, that if this somewhat disingenuous scientist is one of the people leading the debate, this may be nothing more than an exercise in futility. I am not saying its all bunk, but with statements like the one cited above, it very well could be.
